Abstract

In this paper we describe an approach to the estimation of the shape of glottal pulses using cepstral coefficients The main purpose of this paper is to develop techniques to estimate an "representative" glottal pulse as well as it deviation from the average shape. The glottal pulse variability is characterized by the proportion of square deviation that is not accounted by the representative, average pulse. This technique was tried on normal and pathological voices.
