Succinylcholine induced ventricular fibrillation in the paralyzed urology patient

Abstract

A myelotomy patient with succinyl choline induced hyperkalemia and ventricular fibrillation was successfully resuscitated. The urologist and anesthetist can prevent this problem by using nondepolarizing muscle relaxants in patients with denervated skeletal muscle.
