Abstract

In many single-channel audio separation techniques, expressing a given audio mixture in terms of its underlying signals is often introduced as a challenging topic. Opposed to commonly used GMM based approaches, introducing a new mask filter for DFT mixtures, in this paper a VQ-based single channel audio separation approach is proposed. Compared with previously proposed methods including MIXMAX mask filter it is demonstrated that proposed mask filter improves separation performance in terms of SNR and MOS criterion. It is observed that the experimental results agree with the given mathematical.
