Abstract

A discrete population of radial glial cells whose fibers extend into the lateral part of the olfactory tubercle can be labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) during the first week of postnatal life. Radial glial processes are also seen in electron micrographs of this region in young animals and appear to form guides for longitudinally-oriented bundles of axons.
