Abstract

A solid-phase Clq immune complex (IC) assay (C1q-SP) is described. Wells of microtiter plates are coated with Clq, sera diluted 1:40 are added, and complexed IgG bound to the solid phase is detected by peroxidase-labeled protein A. This assay selectively binds aggregated human gammaglobulin and soluble IC prepared in vitro. Treatment of sera with EDTA prior to Clq-SP analysis interferes with the test.
