Annular laser trap: A tool for high-throughput sperm sorting and analysis

Abstract

A continuous, size-tunable 3-D annular laser trap based on axicons provides a way to sort sperm base on motility and chemotaxis, and study the effects of laser radiation, optical force and obstacles on sperm motility.
