Abstract

The paper describes the implementation of a voice recognition device interfaced with an Apple II for computer control by one 9-year old quadriplegic boy. A preliminary evaluation of the VIM-II, a voice template matching device, for speech- and motor-disabled individuals is discussed. An application case study is discussed, along with the outline of a proposed study.
