Abstract

We reviewed some of the latest evidence surrounding nutrition care practices for nurses managing nutrition therapy for acutely ill and critically ill populations. There's much we still don't know about the benefits or harms related to EN therapy, but hope that future, high-quality, randomized controlled trials in this population assist us with closing the knowledge and practice gaps as part of the imperative for science-driven healthcare in 2020.
