The authors discuss the indications and methodologies for the use of growth hormone and other drugs in the treatment of short stature caused by growth hormone deficiency, normal variant short stature, and a number of syndromes. The goals and potential risks of the therapies are also outlined. In addition, the treatment of delayed puberty in males with exogenous androgens is discussed.
