    Abstract

This chapter discusses thrombosis in sites other than the deep veins of the extremity–the upper extremity, cerebra veins, abdomen veins, retina, and priapism. Although the venous system is present throughout the body, the vast majority of thrombosis occurs in the deep veins of the legs. Thrombosis can occur in other locations and when it does is often a marker of underlying pathology.
