Abstract

A balanced plan for helping speech deficiencies due to cleft palate VPI has been presented. The plan requires several specialists willing to work together with cooperative parents and children. The ultimate goal is to wean patients with VPI off their obturators with normalized speech or to, at least, provide for less aggressive surgical speech procedures.
