Tetanus: Review of the literature and report of a case

Abstract

A case report is presented in which trismus was the principal symptom of tetanus. The literature is reviewed, with special reference to pathogenesis, clinical features, and immunization. The importance of including tetanus in the differential diagnosis of acute trismus is stressed.
