Abstract

The existence and stability of negative image equilibria in spike-timing-dependent plasticity was investigated. The network architecture of the neural model was based on the known anatomy of mormyrid ELL, a cerebellum-like structure that was the initial site of electrosensory processing in mormyrid electric fish. It was proved that two conditions must hold for the existence of negative image equilibria.
