Abstract

This case discusses the pharmacokinetic interaction between cyclosporine and St. John's wort, resulting in renal failure. Cylcosporin is a cytochrome P450 3A4 and P-glycoprotein substrate and St. John's wort is a 3A4 and P-glycoprotein inducer.
