Abstract
Squamous cell cancers - scaling, ulcerated, nodular lesions on sun-exposed areas of the skin - can arise from actinic keratoses and Bowen's skin lesions. Biopsy is important for diagnosis. Carcinomatous and lymphomatous infiltrates of the skin may be the first manifestation of an occult neoplasm, or may indicate failure of therapeutic measures or recurrence of a neoplasm assumed to have been eradicated.
