Abstract

This article presents rehabilitation strategies for treatment of patients with vestibular deficits. Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based approach designed to maximize central nervous system compensation for vestibular pathology. This paper reviews the physiologic rationale for an exercisebased approach and discusses specific assessement and treatment techniques involved in a vestibular rehabilitation program.
