Abstract

A novel method for reduction of in-band interferometric crosstalk in intensity modulated optical links is demonstrated by filtering using a DC block. Conditions for noise reduction are described and experimental results show as much as 6.5dB power penalty improvement for 10Gbit/s non-return-to-zero modulation.
