Rapid Paraffin Fixation for Use in Histologic Examinations

Abstract

A method for the rapid preparation of permanent paraffin sections is described. This method produces sections of a quality comparable to that of conventional tissue processing and superior to that of most frozen sections. Slides are available for pathologic diagnosis within one hour of receipt in the laboratory.
