Abstract

A comparative analysis is presented of the accuracy possibilities of competitive systems for measuring linear and angular displacements constructed using various schemes. A scheme is presented and a description is given of the principle of operation of a system which possesses fundamentally higher accuracy possibilities. This system is shown to be of universal application.
