Abstract

The eye may be affected in several ways by many hematologic disorders and systemic malignancies. The effects on the eye may be due to the disease itself or to the therapeuticc agents used in treating the disease. This article reviews recent articles used in treating the disease. This article reviews recent articles describing ocular manifestations of β-thalassemia, sickle cell retinopathy, anticoagulation, leukemia, dysproteinemias, paraneoplastic syndromess affecting the eye, and the ocular effects of cancer chemotherapy.
