N2 - This study aims to establish if cultural capital of a soccer player significantly impacts the migration of the football players. Using a sample of Slovenian former male football players, it discusses the influence of the primary family, education variables and the environment on the players’ cultural capital. The sample of subjects in the pilot study consists of 80 male football coaches aged between 20 and 51. The goal with this investigation was to get a general overview about the family situation, which may support the possible success of a football player. It also discovers a connection between the institutional football-related aspects of the football player, defined by the athlete’s previous facts/actions/decisions in the field of football and their success in football migration. Based on the data we have identified significant factors of “cultural capital” that can help predict the success of football players’ migration and transfers.
