Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: Main objective: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of neuromodulation therapies that explicitly target pathological synchronous activity to reduce tinnitus perception in order to reduce tinnitus distress. Secondary objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of neuromodulation therapies in terms of reduced co-morbid symptoms and improved quality of life. To review the physiological changes and adverse events associated with different neuromodulation (desynchronisation) therapies.
