abstract = "Some of the factors that modify experimental aminoglycoside nephrotoxicity are reviewed. Maneuvers ready to be tested for effectiveness in the clinical use of these drugs are highlighted. The use of concomitant penicillins and changes in dosing strategy seem to be particularly exciting new leads toward elimination of clinical aminoglycoside nephrotoxicity.",
