Abstract

The authors investigated experimentally and theoretically the electrotonic potential of skeletal muscle during a square pulse of current, using the equivalent circuit proposed by Falk and Fatt as a model. More complicated models of muscle membrane have been proposed, but their model gives a sufficiently accurate description of membrane impedance and has the advantage of simplicity.
