Abstract

Metastatic small cell carcinoma of the prostate portends a poor prognosis. Survival expectancy is generally estimated in months with few reports in the literature of patients surviving more than 2 years. We report a case of one of the longest known surviving patients in continuous complete remission with metastatic small cell carcinoma of the prostate and review the available literature reporting longer-term survival in this condition.
