Abstract
Recent advances in intracranial vascular catheterization along with new microballoon technology have led to increasing interest in the use of interventional techniques to treat cerebrovascular disease. We review several areas in which interventional neuroradiology is emerging as an important component of a brain ischemia treatment program.
