Abstract

Induction of autoimmune syndromes by drugs is a well-described clinical phenomenon. This article reviews the literature on drug-induced lupus and other autoimmune syndromes induced by pharmacologic agents. The induction of autoimmune syndromes by biologic agents used in clinical medicine is reviewed because these agents are becoming a more common cause of autoimmune syndromes.
