Documentation of paradoxical umbilical blood supply of an acardiac twin in the antepartum state

Abstract

In a case with one acardiac twin, color Doppler examination revealed retrograde umbilical circulation to this fetus. The pulsatile flow in the umbilical vessel of the acardiac fetus was supported by the cardiac function of the co-existing healthy twin.
