Abstract

We propose the order HRAS1-(INS,IGF2)-D11S12-HBBC-PTH-CALC1-CAT. INS and IGF2 are considered a single locus since no crossovers were detected and evidence indicates that they are within 15 kb of each other (Grzeschik and Kazazian, HGM8). Tests of different hypotheses (i.e., which loci were allowed to vary) in the 3- and 4-point LINKMAP analyses gave rise to the range of maximum likelihood estimates of recombination for HRAS1-INS, D11S12-HBBC and INS-HBBC. The ranges of values for HBBC-PTH, PTH-CALC1, and CALC1-CAT are the result of 2-point analyses of Workshop data and data from two large reference pedigrees not included in the Workshop.
