CPR-induced rib fractures: Characteristic scintigraphic appearance

Abstract

A 55-year-old woman sustained numerous rib and sternal fractures during CPR. A radiogallium scan and subsequent Tc-99m MDP scan, performed for other reasons, each demonstrated intense uptake at the fracture sites in a striking and characteristic pattern.
