Abstract

Copper catalyzed enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to various enones has been achieved in the presence of a new class of chiral ionic liquid (ChirILs) derived from α-pinene. This first study on the application of ChirILs for the title reaction shows that the chiral reaction medium has a significant influence on chiral induction.
