Abstract
For many years catheter aortography was the principal means of evaluating a variety of pathologic conditions of the aorta. Recent advances in CT, MRI, and echocardiography have relegated traditional aortography to a less important role in the evaluation aortic disease. Nonetheless, conventional aortography remains an important diagnostic tool. The role of aortography and pathologic findings seen in a variety of diseases are presented here.
