All-optical switching arrays based on optical self-routing

Abstract

A 1×4 all-optical self-routing array is designed, using arc-type waveguide switch with interference between two guidewaves as element unit. Simulation by BPM shows: The light beam from any port, taking self-intensity as routing sign, can realize 1×4 switching. Pilot study about multiple all-optical self-switching is accomplished.
